This will be my personal blog devoted to passing the Nebraska Civil Rights Initiative. Check back for a personal, idiosyncratic view of a drive to change the Nebraska State Constitution.
News right now -- Ward Connerly, founder of the American Civil Rights Institute and brains and driving force behind the NCRI, will be speaking at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Nebraska City Campus Union Ballroom next Tuesday night (February 26). The next day, he and I will both testify before the Unicameral Judiciary Committee in support of LR233CA, Senator Mark Christensen's resolution to put the NCRI on the ballot. Mano a mano with Ernie Chambers - should be fun.
Also, yesterday I filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the University of Nebraska Counsel's office, asking for all documents held by the university relating to the illegal January 18, 2008 resolution by the Board of Regents condemning the NCRI. Let's get it all out in the open, shall we?
Sunshine is the best disinfectant. Lest I be confused with Barack Obama, I didn't write that - it was Louis Brandeis.
